In November 2009, US President Obama unveiled “100,000 Strong Initiative. America would arrange 100,000 American students to study in China to deepen Sino-US cooperation in education, technology and sports. In January 2011, President Hu Jintao visited Wanxiang America Corporation. He encouraged Board Chairman Lu of Wanxiang Group to participate in this Initiative. Chairman Lu was very pleased to take the accountability, and asked Ni Pin, GM of Wanxiang American Corporation to manage the program.

The White House Technology Summit
CEO Larry Hales attends a special White House summit. It’s reassuring to be briefed by Valarie Jarrett, Senior Advisor & Assistant to the President, Michael Strautmanis, Deputy Assistant to the President & Counsel to the Senior Advisor for Strategic Engagement and Todd Park, Assistant to the President and the U.S. Chief Technology Officer.
